Hello

I'm Ferre Manendonckx Passionate about cybersecurity

About Me.

Hi, my name is Ferre Manendonckx, and I’m a motivated student working toward a degree in Applied Computer Science with a focus on Electronics and ICT. I’ve always been drawn to the way technology can solve real-life problems, and that curiosity naturally led me to the world of cybersecurity. Over time, I found myself especially interested in blue teaming, where I can focus on defending systems, spotting threats early, and helping organizations stay safe.

Outside of my studies, I enjoy activities that challenge my focus and decision-making. I often compete in dart tournaments, and every now and then I win. I also love playing chess, which gives me a mental workout and sharpens my strategy. Both hobbies have taught me patience, precision, and critical thinking. These are skills that also help me in cybersecurity. In the future, I hope to work as a blue team analyst, helping businesses build stronger defenses and creating safer digital environments. I look forward to joining teams that are passionate about solving new problems and making the online world more secure.

Projects.

This is a group project. I made sure the integration with Prometheus was working correctly and that the data was being displayed in Grafana. I also created a dashboard to visualize the data. This project was part of the SKIL course in my studies at Thomas More University of Applied Sciences.

I created a Python script that automatically generates a grocery shopping list based on the recipes you want to make. The script takes into account the ingredients needed for each recipe and compiles a comprehensive list of items to buy. I focused myself on the distance sensor, this distance sensor sended how many cans of cola were still in the rack. My group project was conducted as part of the SKIL course during my studies at Thomas More University of Applied Sciences.

I created a pentesting report for a web application. The report includes an overview of the vulnerabilities found, their severity, and recommendations for remediation. This project was part of my studies at Thomas More University of Applied Sciences.

In this portfolio that I made for Communication Skills, I showcase my skills and projects. The portfolio includes a description of my background, education, and work experience, as well as links to my GitHub and LinkedIn profiles. These tasks were helpful to practice my softskills. I practiced things like my pronunciation and my small-talk. This task was part of my studies at Thomas More University of Applied Sciences.
